JOINT MEETING BETWEEN THE INVESTMENT AND TRADE AGENCY AND THE IMMIGRATION AGENCY HELD<\/p>\n

A joint meeting between the Investment and Trade Agency and the Immigration Agency was held on January 20, 2026.<\/p>\n

The meeting was attended by Mr. B. Zandan, Acting Director General of the Investment and Trade Agency; Mr. B. Batbayar, Head of the Administration and Management Division; Ms. N. Bolortuya, Investment Support and Events Specialist; Mr. N. Uuganbayar, Head of the Immigration Agency; Mr. G. Bilegt, Head of the Visa and Permit Department; and Mr. Kh. Bekhbat, Head of the Inspection and Violation Resolution Department.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, participants discussed issues related to visas and residence permits for foreign investors, exchanged information, and addressed challenges faced by the two organizations. They also explored ways to improve information sharing in evaluating and identifying foreign investment.<\/p>\n

As of today, 5,543 foreign nationals affiliated with 2,136 foreign-invested companies and organizations hold residence permits as investors in Mongolia, accounting for approximately 16% of the total foreign residents in the country.<\/p>\n

The meeting emphasized the importance of attracting foreign investors who make tangible investments and create jobs in Mongolia, as well as strengthening coordination and cooperation among government agencies providing services to foreign nationals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
